Welcome to Ma Baker, where bread isn’t just food—it’s a passion, a craft, and a way of life. I’m Liz Wilson, the heart and hands behind this cozy little bakery. My journey with bread began in July 2013 when I completed the Bread Angel’s Micro Bakery course. From the very first knead, I fell in love with the magic of bread-making.
The following year was a whirlwind of flour and dough as I volunteered in bakeries and cooking schools across London. I soaked up every bit of knowledge I could, working alongside some incredible bakers. In 2014, my dedication paid off when I was honored as the runner-up in the Home Baker category at the World Bread Awards.
This recognition fueled my passion even further, and in 2015, I opened my very own micro bakery. Here at Ma Baker, I’m thrilled to share my award-winning breads with our local community. But the journey didn’t stop there.
I founded The Bread School because there’s nothing more fulfilling than sharing what you love with others. And love it, I do! This is reflected in the wonderful 5-star reviews our classes receive from enthusiastic bread enthusiasts just like you.
